Getting Started

How do I consign with SC Cards & Collectibles?
Start by submitting a consignment request on our Consignment page (sccardscollectibles.com/pages/consignment), describing your cards on the consignment form. Here’s how it works:
1. We review your request and confirm whether we can accept your cards.
2. If approved, we send the consignment agreement for you to review and e-sign, along with shipping instructions. Please don’t send any cards before you’ve been approved, reviewed the agreement and received those instructions.
3. You ship your cards and we complete intake verification.
4. We prepare, list and sell your cards, primarily on eBay.
5. You track the sale and get paid according to your consignment agreement.
What if my request is declined?
We review every request, and we may decline a consignment or an individual item at our discretion. If we decline, we’ll let you know, and you shouldn’t send any cards. If a card doesn’t match what you submitted or doesn’t meet our submission guidelines, we may also decline it after we receive it and return it to you at your expense.
Who can consign?
Consignors must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where they live). A parent or legal guardian can consign items owned by a minor, but the account and agreement are in the adult’s name. If you’re consigning for a business or an estate, we may ask for reasonable documentation to confirm your authority.
What can I consign?
We accept sports cards, TCG cards (such as Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh!), non-sports cards and select collectibles, raw or graded; grading isn’t required. Bulk lots are accepted, but we don’t accept junk-wax collections. The consignment application and submission form list what we accept. We look at value, condition, demand and how well the items fit our sales channels. Our submission guidelines, which cover the item types we accept, the minimum condition for raw cards and packaging requirements, are in your consignor dashboard (consign.sccardscollectibles.com), and each card has to meet the guidelines in effect when you ship it. Please submit a request first (sccardscollectibles.com/pages/consignment) so we can confirm what we can accept.
Is there a minimum value for what I submit?
We generally look for cards worth about $5 or more each, and we review your submission as a whole. A few lower-value cards in a strong submission are fine; submissions made up mostly of cards below that level may not be accepted.
Can you tell me what my cards are worth?
We don’t appraise or value cards for consignors. Please identify your cards and review recent sales before you submit; recent sold listings on eBay are a good starting point. You can note an approximate value on your consignment form if you like, but it’s only for our records and insurance documentation. It isn’t an appraisal or a guaranteed price.
Do you grade or authenticate cards?
No. We don’t grade or authenticate cards. Whether to have a card graded is your decision, and you arrange and pay for any grading before you send it to us. Marketplaces such as eBay may separately send eligible cards for authentication after a sale.
Can a group breaker, vault or friend send cards on my behalf?
Yes. A group breaker, vault or friend can ship cards to us for you. They act as your agent, so you remain the consignor and stay responsible for what they do. The agreement and payouts are with you. Please tell us in advance so we can match the shipment to your consignment.
Do you accept consignors outside the U.S.?
Yes. We accept consignors from outside the United States. Please contact us before sending anything so we can confirm shipping, customs and payment arrangements. All amounts are calculated and paid in U.S. dollars, you’re responsible for shipping to us and for any export, customs and duties in your country, and we follow U.S. sanctions and export-control laws.
How do I create a consignor account and sign in?
After your request is approved, you review and e-sign the consignment agreement and your consignor account is set up. Our approval of your account or first consignment form is our acceptance, so no company signature is needed. To sign in, use the email address you applied with. We email you a six-digit code, there’s no password, and your browser remembers you for 30 days.
Can I send more than one consignment?
Yes. You can submit additional consignment forms at any time. Each one we approve is covered by the same agreement.

Elite$5,000–$9,999.995%

*Calculated on Net Sale Proceeds per item sold.

Is there an upfront cost to consign?
There’s no charge to submit a consignment request (sccardscollectibles.com/pages/consignment). Our consignment fee is a percentage of each card’s net sale proceeds and is taken when a card sells. You pay to ship your cards to us, and marketplace fees are deducted when we calculate your net sale proceeds. See ‘Are there any other fees or deductions?’
What are your consignment tiers?
Our fee is a percentage of each card’s net sale proceeds, based on its final sale price (what the buyer pays for the card after any discount we give on it, not counting shipping, handling or taxes). You keep the rest. Your signed consignment agreement controls. The calculator on our Consignment page (sccardscollectibles.com/pages/consignment) shows an estimate before marketplace fees.
Core (under $50): 15%
Select ($50–$249.99): 12.5%
Premium ($250–$999.99): 10%
Premier ($1,000–$4,999.99): 6.5%
Elite ($5,000–$9,999.99): 5%
Signature ($10,000+): 3%
What are net sale proceeds?
Net sale proceeds are the sale price we receive for your card, not counting buyer-paid shipping, handling or sales tax, minus the marketplace and payment processing fees for your card and any refunds, returns, chargebacks or claims for it. Those fees are calculated as if the buyer had paid only the price of the card, so we absorb any fee that comes from shipping, handling or taxes. We keep buyer-paid shipping and handling and pay the shipping, insurance and label costs ourselves, so they don’t affect your payout.
How is my payout calculated?
1. The final sale price (what the buyer pays for the card after any discount we give, not counting shipping, handling or taxes) sets your tier.
2. We work out your net sale proceeds (see ‘What are net sale proceeds?’).
3. Our tier fee comes off the net sale proceeds.
4. You receive the rest.
Example: a $500 card in the Premium tier (10%) with $65 in marketplace fees has net sale proceeds of $435, a $43.50 fee and a $391.50 payout.
Are there any other fees or deductions?
Marketplace fees are deducted to reach your net sale proceeds. We cover the standard payout fee that PayPal, Venmo or Stripe charges us. For a payment to a consignor outside the United States, we may deduct any additional cross-border or currency-conversion fee, shown on your settlement statement. Other charges apply only in specific situations: $1 per card to re-sleeve or re-holder a card that arrives without proper protection, and the charges explained in the answers on taking a card back early and on unsold cards (withdrawal fee, return shipping and insurance, storage fee, and reimbursement of out-of-pocket authentication or verification costs). Each payout statement itemizes what was deducted.
Is there a minimum payout amount?
We pay out once your balance reaches $25 for a PayPal or Venmo payout, or $100 for a Stripe bank transfer. Smaller balances carry forward until they reach the minimum. When you have no cards left with us and no sales pending, you can request one final payout of whatever balance remains through the portal (consign.sccardscollectibles.com), portal messaging or email. A balance under $1 at a final payout or account closing is written off.
When do I get paid?
Once a card has been delivered to the buyer and the sale proceeds have cleared, we credit your share to your balance within five days. We then pay your balance on the schedule you choose in your consignor portal (consign.sccardscollectibles.com/): daily, weekly (the default) or on request. An on-request payout is made within five days after your request, and daily and weekly payouts go out on the next scheduled payout date. If eBay sends the card for authentication, payment waits until it passes and is delivered. Marketplace holds can delay payment, and your balance has to meet the minimum payout amount.
Will I get a statement for my payouts?
Yes. Each payment comes with a settlement statement that has its own ID. It shows the item price, the marketplace fees on the item, the net sale proceeds, our consignment fee, any promotion applied, and your payout, along with any adjustment such as a refund or hold. If you spot an error, tell us in writing within 30 days of receiving the statement.
Do I need to provide tax or ID information?
We don’t routinely ask consignors for government-issued ID. We may ask for reasonable proof of identity, ownership or authority (such as purchase or grading records) before accepting a consignment or releasing a payment. Payout providers may also collect financial, tax or identity information directly from you under their own policies. You’re responsible for taxes on your payouts; we report payouts as the law requires and can’t give tax advice.
What happens to my balance if I stop using my account?
If your account has no activity for 12 months (no login, new consignment or payout request), all your cards have been sold, returned or withdrawn, and you have a positive balance, we email you at least 30 days in advance and then pay the balance by your payout method on file, less any cross-border or currency-conversion fee that applies, and close the account. If we can’t pay you (for example, there’s no valid payout method or a payment is returned), we hold the money and try to reach you. If it stays unclaimed for the period set by state unclaimed-property law, we must report it and deliver it to the state, and you would claim it from the state.

Sending Your Cards

How do I get my cards to you?
After your consignment is accepted, we’ll send instructions for shipping your cards securely or arranging an approved delivery, including an in-person drop-off arranged in advance. Please wait for those instructions before sending anything.
Is there a deadline to send my cards after I’m approved?
Our exclusive right to sell a card starts when we approve your consignment form. If we haven’t received a card within 30 days after that approval, either of us can cancel the consignment of that item by written notice.
How should I package my cards?
Cards need to arrive properly protected. The submission guidelines in your consignor dashboard (consign.sccardscollectibles.com) cover the packaging requirements, and each card has to meet the guidelines in effect when you ship it. Cards that don’t meet them may be declined. If a card arrives without proper protection, we may re-sleeve or re-holder it and charge $1 per card, deducted from your payout. Your approval instructions will include the details.
Who pays for shipping my cards to you, and who is responsible if they’re lost on the way?
You ship your cards to us at your own expense and bear the risk of loss or damage while they’re in transit. Our duty of care begins when we actually receive them. You can insure your shipment separately if you want coverage. If we decline a card, we return it at your expense.
What happens after you receive my cards?
We physically inspect your shipment and verify it against what you submitted on your consignment form, then confirm receipt in writing within five business days after we receive it. The confirmation comes through your consignor portal or, as a backup, by email or portal messaging, and says your cards were received and generally match what you submitted, or notes any difference. We don’t count cards one by one. If you disagree with the confirmation, tell us in writing within five business days; otherwise it’s treated as accepted. Carrier delivery isn’t the same as receipt: no listing or turnaround period starts until we’ve completed this verification. For larger consignments we may prepare an inventory schedule of what we received.
What if my cards don’t match what I described?
If a card materially doesn’t match its description, including a different certification number or grade, or signs of tampering with a grading holder, we may decline that card or the whole consignment. We return declined cards to you at your expense.

Listing & Selling

Where will my cards be sold?
Consigned cards are listed primarily on eBay (ebay.com/str/sccardsncollectibles), as a scheduled auction or Buy It Now. Our agreement also allows us to use other channels, such as Whatnot, private sales, dealer networks and card shows. We choose the sales channel for each card; the consignment form doesn’t let you choose or limit it. Listings may also appear in our website catalog (sccardscollectibles.com/collections/all).
Will my cards be listed as auctions or Buy It Now?
We list cards at auction by default. Auctions run for 7 days and typically start at 9:00 pm Eastern. In some cases we list a card at a fixed price, set in line with fair market value using comparable recent sales. We decide the format, timing and pricing. No minimum price, starting price or reserve applies at auction, and we don’t guarantee an auction price.
Can I set a minimum price?
A minimum sale price exists only if you list one on your consignment form and we accept it. We accept a minimum only for a fixed-price listing of a card with an approximate value of $1,000 or more (the Premier, Elite and Signature tiers), and we may decline a proposed minimum. We don’t accept a minimum for a card below $1,000 or for anything sold at auction. A minimum is a floor for the offers we’ll accept, before fees. It isn’t a guarantee that the card will sell or reach that price.
Do you sell cards as lots?
Each card we sell separately is treated as its own item for pricing and fees. If we intentionally market and sell cards together as one lot, the lot is treated as a single item, and the lot’s total sale price sets the tier.
Can I bid on my own listings?
No. Consignors can’t bid on, make offers on or buy their own cards, or ask anyone else to do it for them. If you want a card back, withdraw it instead. If we reasonably believe shill bidding has happened, we may cancel the listing or sale, report it to the marketplace and end the agreement, and you would be responsible for the related costs.
Do you or your team bid on consigned cards?
No. We don’t bid on or buy consigned cards for our own account. We also prohibit our Managing Member, employees, contractors, their household members and anyone acting for them from bidding on any consigned card or any other listing we manage. Someone connected to us could buy a consigned card only if you approve that specific purchase and price in writing in advance, and any approved purchase is a private purchase made outside the auction, not by bidding.
How long until my cards are listed?
We can’t guarantee a listing date. Timing starts once we’ve completed intake verification, not when the carrier delivers. Our current estimated turnaround is listed in your consignor dashboard (consign.sccardscollectibles.com), and any posted turnaround is an estimate only.
Can I request a correction to a listing?
Yes. Contact us as soon as you notice an error. Before a card is listed, we can make the change. After it’s listed, what we can change depends on the listing’s status and the marketplace’s rules.
How can I track my consignment?
Your consignor dashboard (consign.sccardscollectibles.com) shows your products and what’s still in stock, your sales, the payouts due and pending, and your past payouts. When a payout is ready, you can request it from the dashboard. You can view sales and payouts for the past 30 days, last month or the past year. Statuses update as items move through intake, listing, sale and payout.
How long does a consignment last?
Our exclusive right to sell each card starts when we confirm receipt in writing after intake verification, and runs for 60 calendar days unless your consignment form says otherwise. That’s how long we have exclusive authority, not a promise the card will sell in that time. We can renew it for another 60 days by mutual agreement, including by email, in the portal or by text message. If a sale is pending when the period ends, it extends until that sale is fully resolved.
Can I sell my cards somewhere else while they’re with you?
No. Consignment with us is exclusive. From the day we approve your consignment form until the consignment period ends, you can’t list, advertise, sell, trade or consign the card anywhere else, or let anyone else do it, without our written consent, and you should send any inquiries you get to us. If a card is sold around us, we’re still entitled to our full consignment fee. The same applies for 60 days after the period ends if you sell to a buyer who contacted us, made an offer or bid on it during the period.

After the Sale

What happens if my card doesn’t sell?
If the 60-day consignment period ends without a sale and isn’t renewed, our sales authority ends and either of us can end the agreement. If neither of us acts within 15 days, it ends automatically, and within 10 business days we make the card available for pickup (arranged in advance) or ship it to your address on file. Return shipping and insurance are at your cost, unless we ended the agreement for our own convenience. If you don’t retrieve a card or accept redelivery within 60 days after we tell you it’s ready, a $25 monthly storage fee applies from the 61st day, and after further written notices an unclaimed card may be treated as abandoned and become our property.
Can I take a card back early?
Yes. During the consignment period you can withdraw a card by written notice, including through the portal (consign.sccardscollectibles.com), unless a sale is pending (for example an accepted offer, an auction that has a bid, a sale awaiting authentication, delivery or payment clearance, or an open return window or dispute). We end the listing within two business days. If the card has already been listed, a withdrawal fee applies: the greater of our fee rate on its current listing price (or auction starting price) or $1 per card. Return shipping is at your cost. If the agreement ends before a sale, you also reimburse any out-of-pocket authentication or verification costs we incurred.
What if the buyer doesn’t pay?
If a buyer doesn’t pay, the sale is void and no consignment fee is charged. We open an unpaid-item case with the marketplace and then relist the card. Your consignment period is extended so it ends no earlier than 60 days after the case closes. You’re paid only when the card later sells.
What happens if a buyer returns an item or opens a claim?
All of our listings are set to no returns. If a marketplace requires a return or refund (such as an item-not-as-described claim, payment dispute or chargeback), we cooperate with it. If that happens before you’ve been paid, the sale is void, no fee is charged, and we relist or return the card. If it happens after you’ve been paid, the amount paid for that card is deducted from future payouts, or invoiced to you and due within 15 days, and the consignment fee is reversed, although we may keep marketplace fees for that sale that aren’t refunded to us. We bear the shipping and label costs for the return.
Who bears the cost of a refund?
It depends on the cause. We cover refunds caused by our photos, descriptions, handling or packaging. You cover refunds caused by a defect, alteration or condition that wasn’t disclosed or reasonably detectable at intake. Buyer claims that a card is counterfeit, a reprint not identified as such, or altered can reach back one year after delivery, and you’re responsible for them where they arise from information you provided.
Do marketplace authentication programs affect my consignment?
Some third-party marketplaces, such as eBay, send eligible items to a third-party authenticator before they reach the buyer. The marketplace, not us, decides which items. Payment for that card waits until it passes and is delivered. If it fails, the sale is void, no fee or payment applies, and we inspect the card and relist or return it. If several cards in a consignment fail, or the reason is authenticity or alteration, we may pause sales of the remaining cards in that consignment while we review them.
How are my cards protected while you have them?
SC Cards & Collectibles maintains collectible-dealer insurance that includes qualifying customer-owned collectible property held on consignment, subject to the insurer’s policy terms, limits, documentation requirements and exclusions. Consigned cards are kept in a secure, access-restricted area, and cards we value at more than $250 are kept in a locked safe when they’re not being handled, photographed, packed or shipped. We use reasonable care from the time we physically receive your cards until they’re returned to you or handed to a carrier for the buyer or an authentication facility. You can insure your cards separately for coverage above our policy.
What if a card is lost or damaged?
If a card is lost or damaged in transit while we’re shipping it, we bear the loss. We pay you the sale price (not counting buyer-paid shipping, handling and taxes) without taking our fee, less anything already paid to you for that sale, and you don’t repay any excess. We also bear the loss from fraudulent buyer claims, such as empty-box or item-switch claims, if the card was accurately described. Otherwise, our liability is limited to direct physical loss or damage caused by our failure to use reasonable care, capped at the card’s intake value or fair market value. Please report any loss or damage in writing within 30 days.

Promotions

Do you offer consignment promotions?
From time to time we offer consignment promotions, such as consignment credits or fee discounts. Each promotion has its own terms and conditions, and they apply only to that promotion. The offer tells you who can use it, how long it lasts, any limits and how to claim it. A promotion reduces our consignment fee only. It doesn’t change marketplace fees, listing decisions, payout timing or payment methods.
What’s the difference between a consignment credit and a fee discount?
Promotions generally come in two forms, and each offer’s terms say which applies. A consignment credit is a dollar amount applied against our consignment fee on your sales until it’s used up or expires. A fee discount lowers the fee percentage for a card’s tier (for example, 20% off a 15% rate is 12%) and doesn’t move the card into a different tier. A discount may exclude certain tiers; Elite and Signature are excluded unless the offer says otherwise. Example (illustration only): with a $25 credit, a card that sells for $46 (Core tier, 15%) with $40 in net sale proceeds has a $6 fee. The credit covers it, you receive the full $40, and $19 of credit remains.
How do I know a promotion offer is real?
Official offers come only from our designated email addresses or business phone number, or are posted on our website (sccardscollectibles.com), consignor portal (consign.sccardscollectibles.com) or official social media accounts (Instagram: instagram.com/sccardshop, Facebook: facebook.com/profile.php?id=61578495373205), or printed on an insert or other material we issue, including a QR code that links to one of those pages. If you’re unsure about an offer, ask us at consignment@sccardscollectibles.com.

Privacy & Your Account

Will my personal information be shown to buyers?
No. Your financial, tax, identity and payout information isn’t shown to buyers or included in public marketplace listings, and we don’t publish consignor names or contact details in our listings.
How do you use my information?
We use consignor information to review applications, handle your cards, list and sell them, and pay you. We don’t use payout or tax information for advertising or marketing, and we don’t use buyer contact information from eBay or other marketplaces for our own marketing. We keep account, sale, fee, statement, payout and promotion records, portal activity and agreement audit records, and signed agreements for up to seven years after your account closes or your last transaction, or longer if the law or a dispute requires. Our Privacy Policy (sccardscollectibles.com/policies/privacy-policy) explains the details.
How do I ask to see, correct or delete my information?
Email contact@sccardscollectibles.com. We respond to privacy requests within 45 days (or sooner where the law requires), and we may need to verify your identity first. Information held by eBay, PayPal, Stripe or other companies has to be requested from them directly. Our Privacy Policy (sccardscollectibles.com/policies/privacy-policy) has the details.
Can you use photos of my cards in your marketing?
We take photos and scans of your cards at intake, and we own the photos and listing content we create. We may use them to list and market your cards and to promote our business, including after a sale, but we won’t identify you by name without your consent unless the law requires. If you give us your own images or descriptions, you give us a non-exclusive license to use them for the same purposes.
Will you call or text me about my consignment?
Yes. By signing the consignment agreement, you agree that we may call or text you about your consignment at the phone number you gave us, including with automated messages. We may also handle 60-day renewals and minimum-price approvals by text. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts or HELP for help. We send marketing texts only with your separate, express written consent.
How do I close my consignor account?
You can ask to close your account at any time through portal messaging (consign.sccardscollectibles.com) or by emailing consignment@sccardscollectibles.com. We’ll complete any pending sales, return or handle any cards still with us, and pay your remaining balance as a final payout. We treat your request to close as your final payout request. Then we close the account. Unused promotions are handled as the promotion’s terms provide. Closing doesn’t delete records we’re required or permitted to keep.

Still have a question? For consignment questions, email consignment@sccardscollectibles.com. For everything else, email contact@sccardscollectibles.com or use our contact form (sccardscollectibles.com/pages/contact). We typically respond within one business day.
