Consignment and Payout Information

If you submit property to SC Cards & Collectibles for consignment, we may collect information including your name, contact information, mailing address, account information, item descriptions and images, grading or certification information, information regarding the item you submit and your authority to consign it, pricing or sale instructions, listing information, transaction history, payout preferences, and payout records.

Where reasonably necessary to administer a consignment relationship or payout, verify identity, prevent fraud, or satisfy legal, tax, accounting, or reporting obligations, we may also collect or receive identity-verification information, tax forms, taxpayer identification information, or other information required by applicable law or a payout or verification provider.

Payment, payout, banking, identity-verification, or similar providers may collect certain financial, tax, or identity information directly from you. Where they do, SC Cards & Collectibles may receive limited verification, account-status, payout, or transaction information rather than complete financial credentials.

Consignor financial, tax, identity, and payout information is not displayed to buyers or included in public marketplace listings.

For consignment Services, we may also use information to establish and administer consignment relationships; receive and manage consigned property; document information regarding submitted items and the Consignor’s authority to consign them; create and manage product and marketplace listings; record pricing, reserve, sale, or approval instructions; communicate regarding offers and sales; coordinate authentication, shipping, returns, claims, and customer service; calculate and process Consignor payouts and fees; verify identity where reasonably appropriate; maintain transaction and tax records; and comply with legal and reporting obligations.

We may also use information to operate, maintain, analyze, secure, and improve our Site and Services; understand Site usage; provide marketing communications when permitted; measure and improve marketing activities; enforce our policies and agreements; comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements; and protect the rights, property, and safety of SC Cards & Collectibles, our customers, Consignors, and others.

4. Shopify, Marketplaces, eBay APIs and Service Providers

Shopify provides the ecommerce platform used to operate our online store and processes certain personal information in connection with access to and use of our Site.

We may also use third parties to help operate our business, including marketplaces, payment and payout processors, shipping and delivery providers, website and cloud-service providers, identity-verification providers, analytics providers, email and marketing providers, fraud-prevention and security providers, customer-service providers, and accountants, attorneys, and other professional advisers.

These parties may receive or process personal information as reasonably necessary to provide their services, complete transactions, comply with applicable law, or otherwise perform the particular business function for which they have been engaged.

eBay API and eBay Personal Data

Our Services may connect with eBay through eBay APIs or other eBay-approved integrations. For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “eBay Personal Data” means personal information relating to an eBay user that SC Cards & Collectibles receives from eBay, through an eBay API or approved integration, or in connection with an eBay transaction.

Contact information obtained through an eBay transaction will not be used to enroll an eBay customer in SC Cards & Collectibles marketing communications merely because that person purchased from or otherwise interacted with us through eBay. A customer may separately elect to subscribe to SC Cards & Collectibles communications through a channel where such consent is appropriately obtained.

We may use eBay Personal Data when reasonably necessary to fulfill an eBay order, provide transaction-related customer support, process an authorized return or claim, provide shipping or tracking information, prevent or investigate fraud, maintain records required for transaction, accounting, tax, legal, or compliance purposes, or otherwise perform a function permitted by eBay.

eBay Personal Data is additionally subject to the restrictions and deletion practices described in Section 4.
